カンタベリーから、ラグビー男子日本代表レプリカジャージーが登場！

日本代表の躍動感、力強さを表現するモチーフとして歌舞伎の隈取に着想を得て、デザインに取り入れました。

すでにラグビー協会のマスコット「レンジー」には歌舞伎の演目の登場人物をイメージした扮装を用いておりますが、日本のラグビーが、江戸時代から人気が続いている歌舞伎のように、さらなる盛り上がりと、末長く日本の文化として栄えていくことへの願いを込めて、このたびのウエアの開発をいたしました。
1stジャージーのカラーは日の丸と、正義感や勇気、超人的な力強さ、ほとばしるエネルギーを表す紅隈から取り入れました。

このジャージーとともに、世界に挑む選手たちを鼓舞し、代表チームと一緒に戦いましょう。

Inspired by Kabuki makeup, a motif representing the dynamism and strength of the Japanese national team, the design incorporates this inspiration.
While the Rugby Association's mascot, "Renji," already uses costumes inspired by characters from Kabuki plays, this new jersey was developed with the hope that Japanese rugby, like Kabuki which has enjoyed enduring popularity since the Edo period, will continue to grow and flourish as a part of Japanese culture for many years to come.
The colors of the 1st jersey are derived from the Japanese flag and the red makeup of Kabuki, representing justice, courage, superhuman strength, and overflowing energy.
